Project 365 - week 5

2.04.2014

Another week down! We're finally over being sick! Preschool started back for us today! I am exclaiming everything because I AM SO HAPPY LAST WEEK IS FINISHED!!!

How very appropriate that she picked this book to flip through (a potty training book), considering I found her in her crib this morning, covered in poop.

We didn't get out of pajamas today. Well, mostly. Myer ditched the pants after they got wet. But the rest of us sickies just decided to hibernate in our comfy clothes.

Good Lord this day was rough. But some macaroni and cheese helped make it a bit better.

I know, two above-the-head shots this week and the same pink bow. I think most of her other bows are in the car. Myer has the tendency to strip off as many clothes/accessories that she can before the car gets parked. It's INCREDIBLY annoying when I need her to walk her sassy self upstairs so I can carry 18 bags inside (plus purse plus diaper bag plus car trash). Long story short- Saturday was rainy and to occupy the small people, we stupidly let them pull all  9,000 of the puffy balls out and play. On a positive note, this gave us an excuse to clean the floors under the couch. (MUCH NEEDED)

Another rainy day = kids cafe. And Steve is a sucker, so he bought the kids their favorite Korean juices. This was the holding/organization system at the kids cafe. I only hope the labeling worked. I mean, no one else should be confusing their Korean symbol name with our blatantly American ones, right?

Steve ventured inside a really great Korean grocery store (that we always thought was "too Korean" for us to go to) with the best produce prices we've seen since arriving in Korea. He snatched up two pints of yummy strawberries for the price of one pint of moldy berries at the commi, along with other fresh fruit.

Today was a blissful, peaceful, quiet preschool day where I had time to go out and browse stores by myself. I saw this sign and thought I had surely stumbled upon the tools to help me have a really successful life. "Life Supplies" consisted of cleaner, coffee, and stationery. Fair enough.

  1. Myer's ringlets are just a bit too much for me to handle. Thank goodness you are all well and school started back up. I was getting really worried about you!

  4. Love the pictures! I wish Lizzie would let me put bows in her hair, but alas unless me and 100 other people can proclaim how pretty she is, she just won't leave them in.
Glad you are all feeling better!!!!!

  5. Her hair is gorgeous. My daughter used to have gorgeous girls and they are now gone. Stupid non-humid California. Once I discovered local produce in Okinawa, I never bought it at the commissary again. The commissary produce is just sad.

  6. So glad you have a new week! From what I could tell last week was rough for y'all. Now we are slowly getting over the stomach bug and hoping it skips the littlest in our house for the most part :-/ I always love all of your pictures by the way.

  8. We had mac & cheese so many times last week I felt like I should have called family services on myself. Apparently everything I make is crap. And fruit is crap. And vegetables, well, those are the biggest piles of crap. But mac & cheese is manna from the gods, apparently. At least the dog is eating well.

  11. Molly's curls prove she is your child after all! Good to know because she's ALL Steve's coloring. For some reason I just thought of the time your neighbors at Campbell thought you were having an affair..WITH YOUR HUSBAND.
