We eventually had to wake Sleeping Beauty so that we could go try on a coat that a neighbor had for her, and a helmet for Sam. We moseyed on out to the playground after that and enjoyed social hour there until Steve came home. (!!!) I made a breakfast casserole for dinner, forgot a key ingredient, had Steve run to a neighbor's house to get missing key ingredient (love my neighbors!), gave another neighbor all of my leftover black cake frosting and a big hunk of promotion cake, ate dinner, watched Thomas, opened mail, brushed teeth, folded laundry, washed dishes, etc etc.
Sam has been tucked in an ungodly amount of times tonight and I think my scary mommy voice might have sealed the deal. It's officially chilly here at night now and it is SO NICE to sleep with the window cracked open. Tomorrow is preschool and I have to go get things for Sam's party at a store where little people shouldn't venture (sooo many things to touch and break and disrupt!) and see if I can find a big boy bike with training wheels up here in Area 1 because I don't think I have it in me to drive to Seoul this week and hide a bike from Sam the entire time we're there.
Here is a picture I snapped of Molly this morning after she had been stuck in time out. I stuck my 85mm lens on my wee camera (looks wee with that lens on it anyway) and tried to take advantage of the good light that comes in their room in the morning time.
She and Sam are having a competition on who can get the most bumps and bruises on their heads and stress me the hell out. So far it's an even tie. |
I love how happy they always look after time out. I hope you were able to get everything for Sam's birthday while they were at preschool. Feels weird running errands alone, doesn't it?
