I attempted to do the Pinterest-y "ask your child these questions every year starting on their 3rd birthday" but it ended up going like this:
Me: "What's your favorite color?"
Sam: "Color, bolor!" (dies laughing)
Me: "What's your favorite animal?"
Sam: "Animal, banimal!" (dies laughing)
Me: "What's your favorite toy?"
Sam: "Toy, boy!" (dies laughing)
Me: *searching for the wine*
So since that didn't quite work out, I went with something different (yet still Pinterest-y).
I can't believe this boy is 3, although I also can, if that makes any sense. The beginning of 2 was sometimes difficult, and the middle and end of 2 was most definitely WHINY, but it was also full of actual conversation and seeing him begin to make connections, run faster, become braver, face-plant a lot, and understand some differences between right and wrong. I'm really looking forward to more.
This is so cute! I didn't attempt the interview thing either because my answers probably would have been similar ;) I'm sure he had a wonderful birthday!
ReplyDeleteAww! Happy birthday Sam! Three has been a great age! I'll have to come back to check out the image. It isn't working for me.
ReplyDeleteSuch a handsome tiny man! :)
ReplyDeleteHe is so adorable! Happy Birthday to him! :)
ReplyDeleteAwwww Happy Birthday Sam!!!! What a cute idea! I did the ask the question thing. It worked, but I have to actually do something with it now :) I hope he had a great day!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Sam!!!
ReplyDeleteAs much as I want my kids to stop growing, it's fun to see them turn into little people. They have funny little personalities, the conversations are wonderful, and their general observations are hilarious.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! Happy Birthday Sam! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Major Hunk!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Sam! My daughter is 4, and she still gives me ridiculous answers sometimes when I ask her questions! lol.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this idea! Beautiful boy.
ReplyDeleteSamster the Manster!! I forgot to comment on your birthday post! Not like you'd know or anything. I'm so proud of you for mastering the skill of rhyming. Try not to overdue it though or you'll frustrate your mother. I'm glad it seems like you're talking with more words and less whines and screeches. I love you a lot, but those whines were not something I think about on with fondness. Your hugs? I miss those. Love you, favorite Sammy!!! ♥
ReplyDeleteHaha! Love this. :)
ReplyDeleteHa! I love his rhymes! And I love what you did when the questionnaire didn't work! Too cute!
