The last weekend, part two (aka I got a new lens for my camera so there might be an excessive amount of photos here)

**Part one blogged here**

After my family left on Sunday morning, we made the short drive to Hopkinsville so I could pick up my latest craigslist find.... a new lens for my camera. But there was no time to test it out right then- I needed to wash sheets and get ready for my best friend from high school (and first college roomie) Brittany. She drove up for one last, quick visit and we had such a blast. A Target trip, catching up on people we know, and sharing stories about new friends and what's going on in our lives now. Funny how with old friends, you don't need to backtrack and tell the how's and why's of everything; they already know them. Makes short visits like this much more productive.

Once the sun started setting and the kids woke up from naps, we wandered outside to play. Behold the work of the new lens.

Deep thoughts.

Molly's BFF. I don't wanna know what living next-door to anyone else feels like.

Big girl goes where she wants. And this time, she wanted to go to the park.

The park is infinitely more fun when Vickie hand-delivers popsicles. Seriously, life doesn't get much sweeter than this.

Pause for the airplane.

Back to work.

Isn't she the cutest? I am in no way biased.

Don't you love her fancy sandals? Even if she's wearing other shoes, she still insists on carrying these with her.

I thought you said your friend was visiting????

Oh yes! Just warming up the camera with the babies, that's all. Here she is!

Ta-da! Brittany!

And here's Steve, in case you forgot what he looks like.

Thank goodness he passed on those baby blues to our children. ((swoon)) I married well.

People like to assume that she's the mom and I'm just the chubby friend who is dressing like a mom for no reason. I definitely have hair envy.

A quick stop to check on "da boi's" and see what's new in Legoland.

If she ever cuts her hair, EVER, I think I will cry real tears and say crazy things like, "Do you know people would KILL for your hair?!"

WTF is this, the cover of Parents' magazine? If I didn't already love her so much, I would hate her and her gorgeous self.

The next day, the movers came. I looked just as rough as my house and Brittany willingly took a bunch of our crap and claimed she would use it. She is very sweet in addition to looking like a model. We have two more days of two different movers coming and I'm still in denial that we'll ever leave this house. I am starting to FULLY GRASP this whole "bittersweet" concept. Not a fan.
