More family!

My parents and sister came to Korea this past week to visit us! It was so nice to see them and have a bit of "home" with us for a while.

After-dinner walks, ice cream, and soju.

We made cheese grits.

We tried to get everyone's cankles to return to ankles.

We visited the trampoline tent and ran into some preschool friends (literally) while boating.

We went to our favorite beef and leaf!

Blessing the food, I think.. or jet lag had overtaken him... or I only seem to catch people on camera when they're blinking.

Steve was a saint while my family was here. He took the kids home for naps after lunch and let us walk around the markets and stores and sit like civilized adults and have real conversations. He also did a lot of dishes, drove us everywhere, changed out carseats, and took care of every little thing so I could hang out with my family.

Naturally we went "feshing." In snowboots. Because what else do you wear to the river?

No one trusts me enough to document things for them.

Of course we had to stop at the prehistory park afterwards.

I didn't get any pictures of our trip to Seoul, but I got Molly a cute little Hanbok outfit and we saw endless stores and shops in Namdaemun. My dad and sister started feeling sick, so we headed back a bit early. We will be sure to see the rest of Seoul on their next trip!

Here you see Saintly Steve putting together a tricycle for Sam with all sorts of help and onlookers.

Once he got the hang of it, he loved it! Molly on the other hand...

Molly was quite peeved that the tricycle did not belong to her. And that her legs can't reach the pedals. And that we refuse to become hunchbacks in order to push her around all day. And that we tried to pacify her with a soccer ball.

We only keep our iPad charged to about 10%... that way, when he does finally get his hands on it, he can't sit with it for very long. And we don't have to play bad guy- "Oh man, the battery is dead! Looks like we have to charge it. Oh well. Wanna read a book?" Works every time.

We passed our favorite flower field and visited our town's market.

We stopped back by the flower field that houses a sand pit before heading home for lunch.

We tried to cram as much sightseeing and good food in as we could, but I still feel like we missed showing them a lot of stuff. Hopefully they can come back before we move and see everything else! We miss them already and loved being able to spend time with family. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to heat up some leftover cheese grits for breakfast.
