Sometimes I can hardly believe that you've been with us for three months; other times I could swear that you've been here forever. You were squashed in your bumbo while I was pumping the other day and Sam flung himself to the ground. He sat next to you and cried for some sympathy. You turned around and gave him a look that said, "Seriously? You did that to yourself. Now hush." And he slowly stopped crying. I can tell already that you're planning on running the show around here.
While I have no official stats to give you (please ask me to lament the Tricare Debacle of 2012 to you when you're older and I'm sure you'll be entertained), we did do a home weigh-in for you the other day. You clocked in at 18lbs. Girlfriend. You are THREE MONTHS OLD. Sam weighed himself at the vet the other day (I know that doesn't sound strange to you at all since you know the kid) and he only weighs 22lbs! You don't let the 18-month age difference slow you down, oh no you don't. You are officially out of 6-month clothes and are well into 9-month sizes. I got you quite a few new things at the Carters store while we were in
You WERE sleeping through the night, but I guess I got a little too proud tooting my horn about that and you didn't appreciate it. Because now? You have taken to being wide awake between the hours of 1:30-3am. I am not a fan of this new habit. Following up with the 6am wakeup is just uncalled for. Let's get back to how it used to be. Thanks.
I am finally keeping up with you in the breastmilk production department, but baby, it ain't easy. I have no clue how much you drink each day, but I'd guess it's around a gallon or so. (Kidding. Maybe. I really haven't taken note of how much you eat. I just feed you when you're hungry. The end.)
You think it's funny when Daddy dances (who doesn't?) and laugh at funny faces too. You are so responsive when we smile or talk to you and let us know with rewarding smiles that you appreciate the interaction.
You are the sweatiest baby I have ever encountered. We could take a ten-minute car ride with the a/c blasting and you will come out of the carseat with a soaking wet back. I'm afraid you were born in the wrong season, sweetie. I'm sorry. Luckily, I hate the heat just as much as you do, so we do our best to find fun things to do indoors.
On a related note, you are not too fond of bathing. While I'm not fond of either of us smelling like hot sick, I do agree that showering/bathing is a huge time-suck. We could be doing something else! Camping out in front of a fan? Eating? Watching Daddy dance? But baths must be had, I'm afraid. Especially for someone with your propensity for sweating. I'm sorry. But this is the way it has to be. And you smell so sweet after a nice bath! Let's just work on the screaming next time, ok? That only works you up into a sweat, which sort of defeats the purpose of the bath in the first place.
Your dad calls you Cheeks McGee sometimes.
We both love you all the time.
Odie only sat on you that one time (and I'm fairly certain it was an accident, so don't hold it against her).
And now that you AND your brother are waking up from your naps, that is all of the time I have to recap your latest accomplishments. You're such a sweetie. Keep flashing that gummy grin of yours!
OMGAH she is soooo precious! Where did these 3 months go?! Oh and when did her hair get so red?
